ECONYL and LYCRA xtra life

The combination of ECONYL® and LYCRA® in all PLAISIR plussize swimwear aims to provide you with products that take your comfort and the environment into account. This applies regardless of whether you prefer our bikinis or swimsuits.

That's PLEASURE.

ECONYL

All PLAISIR swimwear is made from ECONYL® regenerated fibres. This means that your PLAISIR swimwear is made from plastic waste from the sea and the earth. As carpet waste, fishing nets etc. We have used ECONYL® since 2015.

Through the use of ECONYL®, we reduce our consumption of the earth's resources, through repeated use of already produced materials.

ECONYL® is 100% regenerated nylon fibers from fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpets and other types of nylon waste. It collects in the oceans and landfills from all over the world. By using ECONYL®, we use almost no new resources, which means a smaller climate footprint. With PLAISIR swimwear, you can enjoy the beach, the sand and the blue sea with a clear conscience thanks to ECONYL® and their work on converting waste.

LYCRA xtra life

In addition to ECONYL®, all PLAISIR swimwear also contains LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™. This means that PLAISIR swimwear is long-lasting, which ensures a long life for your products.

LYCRA® is a spandex fiber brand, the materials are very light and almost invisible, while adapting the fit to your body. LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™ fibers are very durable and resistant to wear from the sun, heat, chlorine and creams. Thus, the lifespan of products containing LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™ fibers is up to 10 times longer than products made of unprotected fibers. This is, of course, provided that the instructions for washing and maintenance are followed.

PLAISIR swimwear is therefore long-lasting and very comfortable, which ensures a long life for the products, which is good for both the environment and your finances. According to WRAP UK, extending the life of clothes by nine months can reduce carbon, waste and water footprints by up to 20-30% per year. product.
